David & Goliath

Wesley and I have coincidentally been reading through 1st and 2nd Samuel at the same time. When I picture support raising I see a task as scary as Goliath the giant, you may call me dramatic but my first reaction is definitely to flee and avoid asking others for money. God thankfully does not abandon us to do this on our own. Just as God gave David courage we have seen him already encouraging us through His Word and His people. So many wise people have encouraged us to reflect on Paul as well, since he was supported by Christians on his missionary journeys. Paul’s attitude and courage is similar to David, neither of them shy away from doing work for the Lord because of a little awkwardness.

This past month we have continued our support raising with individuals as well as seek out churches. Just this Sunday we had the privilege to speak at Fanning Springs Community Church! The Lord has been opening doors and using other Christians to advocate for us in amazing ways! If your church supports missions please don’t hesitate to reach out for us.
